The correct answers are B and D:

-Japan relies heavily on food sources from the ocean.

-Inland Japan is mostly mountainous and volcanic and not good for farming.

    Explanation:

Japan is an island state east of the Asian continent. The country is formed by 6,852 islands in the Pacific Ocean. The capital and largest city of Japan is Tokyo. The surrounding Greater Tokyo agglomeration, with nearly 40 million inhabitants, is the second largest metropolis in the world. The entire country has 126,451,398 inhabitants, who mostly live on the coast, given the hilly and volcanic relief that inland Japan has.

About 73 percent of Japan's area is covered by mountains, several of which are volcanoes, such as the highest mountain, Fuji, which reaches 3,776 m above sea level.

Japan is heavily dependent on imports for its commodity supply. The country imports large quantities of oil and natural gas from the Persian Gulf and is also the largest buyer of coal from Australia. Japan also produces only 40% of the food in the country (mostly fish), the rest being imported.
