Dr Suess creddits his ability to create rhymes to his mother.

When Suess Giesel was young, his mother used to sing rhymes to put children to sleep soothingly. He went to xford to pursue literature where he met Helen who convinced him to pursue art. He worked on cartoons, advertisements in newspapers, animation departments. He started writing books for children after the second world war. Later he created standard books with just 50 words for the children to gain interest in reading. Suess definitely contributed to the literacy among children in the "20th century".

he gives credit to his mother, this is because when he and his sister Marnie were young, she would chant rhymes to them to soothe them to sleep.
