    We have limited meritocracy only

    Explanation:

Meritocracy is a system where people are awarded benefits based on their merits, as opposed to their background or financial situation. Talent, effort and achievement are factors contributing to a person's success, and advancement in such a system is based on performance.

The American dream is based on meritocracy and many people believe in it. Some skeptics, forever, argue that merit is not enough today to determine a person's success. Big corporation can choose people they want to employ and the recruitment process is not always fair. Wealthy people can buy access to universities for their kids, denying others the chance to get in. Money and heredity play a more important role in a person's career advancement that their merits only, they say.
