I am having a problem in social studies, could anybody tell me was Georgia a success of faliure due to the charter of 1732 and it is on the internet.

    Based on the Reasons for Settlement, as Stated in the Charter of 1732, Was the Georgia Colony a Success or Failure? James Edward Oglethorpe, famous for creating a Parliamentary investigation into the conditions of London prisons, exercised a leading role in the movement to found a new colony.

    It looks like the charter established a board of trustrees that ruled the Georgia colony from 1732-1752. It appears that this was considered mostly a success and was beneficial to the colony.
