    I believe the answer is: Parenting that is more neglectful is related to a higher degree of delinquent behavior.

    Neglected children would most likely see other people beside their families as an outlet to find a certain level of acceptance. Since these other people tend to be immature children around their age, they had higher chance to develop risky behaviour (such as violence, alcohol, drugs, etc)
