    Answer: Social learning theory

Explanation: Through observational study within our social environment, we acquire a lot of knowledge and information which individuals try to replicate, mimick or model. The act of modeling an observed character, attitude or behavior in our social environment is a proposition made by Alex Bandura called the Social learning theory.

In the context above, Alex tried to model or recreate a scene of the behavior or action he observed from his mother while mixing cake ingredients by mixing imaginary ingredients of his own.

    Social learning theory

    Explanation:

Social learning theory was propounded by Albert Bandura in 1977, the theory attempts to explain how behaviors are formed, this theory asserts that behaviors are learned by observing, modeling and imitating the attitudes of other around us, that observational learning plays an important role in the acquisition of new behaviors in individuals and these behaviors can be reinforced or punished depending on how appropriate it is. Individuals who learn new behaviors this way imitate them whether they are gender appropriate or not as in the case of Alex.
