    Trustee Georgia is the name of the period from 1732-1752, the first twenty years of Georgia's history.

    During this period, the province of Georgia was ruled by a Board of Trustees, a group formed by James Oglethorpe. After many difficulties and the departure of Oglethorpe, the trustees submitted a deed of reconveyance to the crown. Georgia then became a royal colony.
