The Industrial Revolution is important to us now due to the technological advances made during that era. During industrialization, there was a shift towards machinery, mass production, and textiles leading to a economic boom in the iron and textile industries and made way for communication, transportation, oil, banking, and factories to expand.

These growths expanded international trade and commerce, strengthened the US economy, and lowered unemployment and poverty.
