I believe personal fulfilment is good for both people and society.

Personal fulfilment would give people a sense of purpose on things that they aspire to achieve within their life span. since this fulfillment usually related to the things that they like and good at, they would gladly spend a lot of time on it and not feel forced to do it. This would make them more likely to make self improvements that are necessary to achieve the personal fulfillment.
