Lisa is still feeling hurt from a breakup. She tells her friend Joanne during a phone conversation, and Joanne seems unusually distant. Lisa fears that Joanne is going to reject her too, and considers rejecting Joanne first. Which strategy for correcting negative self-talk should she use before communicating rejection to Joanne?

    Check self talk can be define as the way in which a person check the way him/her talk to own self.

    Self talk is things someone can do naturally on a daily basis in which it can either be positive or negative.

    It is important that self talk should always be in a positive way because positive self talk is a vital tool that enabled a person to have self confidence and to overcome negative thoughts.

    A person who is used to positive talk tend to be more self confident and motivated.

    A person who want to overcome negative talk when self talking must do the following: The person should never compare him/her self to others, the person should always replace negative words with positive ones and try by all means to avoid negativity, such person should never fear failure and should always believe in success.

    Therefore based on this scenario lisa should use CHECK SELF TALK strategy in order to correct her negative self-talk before communicating rejection to Joanne.
