Muhammad's teachings were succesful because Arabs lived in nomad tribes and they were always having fights and in their fights they weren't really very kind. In their feuds they had many episodes in which women and children were abused by the winning clan. Arabs were politheist which means that they had many gods. Muhammad was very religious and hard working. He married a rich girl Khadihah older than him. In the year 610 A. D. Muhammad received a message of The Angel Gabriel who mainly wanted to preach just one God. His wife believed him but when he started to preach there were many people who opposed him. As a result ha had to run away from Meca. There was a crucial battle against the tribes that were not in favor of him. In this battle Muhammad won and He ordered not to take repraisals. This fact convinced Arabs that Muhammad was right is his teachings and united Arabs.
