One thing that was expected of the colonists in the New Quartering Act was the colonists would have to ask permission from the royal governor before conducting town meetings. The correct answer is B.

I believe the answer is: D. Colonists would have to provide living quarters to British soldiers, even in private homes.

Prior to this act, the non-British soldiers had to stay on isolated islands or by using camps on the street. After this act was created, the non-British soldiers also had the right to live in more appropriate living situation just like british soldiers (like hotels or empty buildings)
