Can you compare and contrast the attributes and customs of the Sumerian education system with American education system of now

The sumerian curriculum included cuneiform (written language) writing, mythology, and record keeping. School would take place from daybreak till sunset for about 25 days a month. In America, school curricula is set through locally elected school boards with jurisdiction over school districts with many directives from state legislatures.
