Are you not aware of the Treasures of Tutankhamen? The greatest archaeological finds, items-wise, was the tomb of the boy-king, Tutankhamen, unearthed by Howard Carter to world-wide fanfare and frenzy. There also was the matter of the many deaths that happened, sparking the story of the mummy's curse.
His brother-father is well-known as "The Heretic King" for briefly turning Egypt's religion of many gods, to the one god, the Sun Disk, the Aten. He was also the husband of the famous beauty, Nefertiti.
