The four body types in William H. Sheldon's Somatotyping are:

Ectomorphs: have little body fat and muscle, are usually lean and long. Models and sports involving tall athletes (Basketball) usually fit the description of Ectomorphs

Endomorphs: have lots of fat, lots of muscle and can easily gain weight. People with large stomachs and usually are overweight

Mesomorphs: are muscular and athletic. Usually have larger bone structure and muscle mass.

Balanced Individuals: are right in the middle, not too fat, not too muscular, and not too skinny.

Sheldon believed Mesomorphs were associated with delinquency and crime
