What is one main differences between a president and a prime minister?

    In which country? some countries don't have a president (UK) and some don't have a prime minister. Generally, if a country has both, the president has more of a representative function (meeting other heads of states, signing important documents) and the prime minister has the actual power (deciding policies, deciding about foreign relations etc.)
