What benefits are there in having multiple sources of law? are there also disadvantages?

Having multiple sources of law will make your argument become a lot stronger in front of the court.

But of course, this also come with some disadvantages. One of them is that there is a chance that those multiple law could contradict each other and make your opponent has a strong counter for your argument
