How did the British tax policies move the colonists closer to rebellion?

    The colonists felt they should not have to pay for the Seven Year War Britian had fought. The colonists had no representation in Parliament. Britian taxed the colonists as a way to pay for debts and to avoid taxing people living in Britian.
