What motivated Rachel Carson to take action and how that action change the American culture or politics?

    Rachel Carson was motivated by the environmental issues that she observed around her many that were specifically linked to the use of pesticides in the environment. Her experiences drove here to write "Silent Spring" and lead the American conservation efforts in the middle of the 20th century.
