I believe the answer is: B. the demand for the added performance elements

Added performance elements is created in order to make the product able to sustain larger amount of works or functions compared to cheaper products.

Since these increasing functions would provide more benefit for the buyers, it would be appropriate to put larger price tag for the product.

Based on the lesson regarding supply and demand, the most effect on the price of a new laptop computer would depend on the materials used in the construction of it. Are they the latest and greatest? Or do they fall short to the nearest competitor? All of these factors will determine and effect the price of a new laptop computer.
