What kinds of activities made up the early economies of the North American colonies?

    For New England Colonies their activities are fishing, lumber and whaling.

    For Middle Colonies they depend on agriculture (Mostly the production of wheat), shipping and trade.

    Southern Colonies trade and agriculture (Mostly tobacco and cotton).
