Government interventions to alleviate poverty are sustainable over a long period of time because the interventions will create a more educated, healthier populous who, through knowledge and tools provided, can themselves create more opportunities to succeed and attain financial stability. The greater aim of this is to lessen the dependence on the state of the poor, and over time, with further education and opportunities, more people will prosper.
