What is the group considered to be the first Romans?

    The territory of Italy was inhabited at the time by many Italic tribes, and spefically the territory around today's Rome was inhabited by the tribe which we today call the Latins. Some of the Latins lived in the city of Rome and the inhabitans of this settlement/city can be considered the first "Romans"
