How does geography affect Philippines history?

geography greatly affects history in a sense that geography is not only focusing on the physical features of a land but also in human activities which according to my research belongs to human geography.

Geography is very important to history. The size, location, and resources of each country affects how they interact with their neighbors. An example of geography playing a major part in history was the Battle of Thermopylae (which was turned into fiction in the movie 300).
