Renewable and non-renewable resources can be exploited by humans for economic purposes. Natural resources occur as is in nature and are not man-made. Renewable resources are 'infinite' or can be replenished over a short period while non-renewable resources can be exhausted. Examples of renewable resources are solar energy, wind energy, geothermal energy, land and forests. Examples of non-renewable resources are petroleum, bauxite, coal, groundwater resources and natural gas.
