What are the main reasons for preparing a scale drawing? What is the key decision that must be made before you can begin?

A scale drawing is created by the drafter to create a drawing that is proportionally equal to the object or building that he/she is trying to design. The drawing can be done by using a scale, and is mostly used to make the design process easier as it makes the whole planning fit into a standard sized piece of paper.
