How did fashion photography change during WW II?

Women started to join the Army and the ones who didn't became more conservative fashion wise. That's why Dior came up with the new look, trying to recover the more "feminine" style. In fashion photography you can see how the skirts became longer and women more and more feminine as an incentive for the troops.
