A bird catches and tries to eat a caterpillar. The caterpillar has a bad taste, so the bird lets the caterpillar go. The next time it sees the same kind of caterpillar, the bird avoids eating it.

    The Monarch Butterflies contains chemicals in its body that make it taste bad to birds. The birds learn that if they eat these Butterflies that they will have a bad taste.
