If an atom has 7 valence electrons, how many electrons does it need to gain to achieve a stable electron configuration? electrons

    It takes one more electron because it needs 8 to make it complete

    An atom with 7 valence electrons would need only one more electron to fill that outer shell and make it stable (whereit doesn't want to react with anything anymore)
