The multi-cellular organism is made of different types of cells with different sizes and shapes.

Cell shape-function is one of the important aspects of biology as it shows the relationship between the function and shape of the cell.

The cells in the multicellular organism have evolved themselves to perform a particular type of function like the neurons and the red blood cell.

The neuron cells are longer and branched to transmit the signals in the body while the red blood cells are biconcave in shape so that they can easily circulate in the blood vessels.
