Balancing chemical equations:
"The symbolic representation of the chemical reaction" using the symbols for denoting the reactants and the product is called as A chemical equation. The reactant involved in the reaction are placed on the left side and the product are present on the right-side.
Method 1: Doing a Traditional Balance
Step 1: First write the chemical equation representing the reaction.
Step 2: Next find or identify the number of atoms present in each of the element
Step 3: Start balancing with the single elements
Step 4: Use a coefficient to balance the element such that the amount of substance present on both the sides are equal.
Method 2: Completing an Algebraic Balance
Step 1:Write down the given equation.
Step 2:Assign a letter to each substance.
Step 3:Check the number of each element found on both sides, and set those equal to each other.
Step 4:Solve this system of equations to get the numeric value for all the coefficients.
