Why is it Important that the chromosomes are doubled before mitosis

    Mitosis separates the chromosomes into two different daughter cells.

    It is important for the doubling of chromosomes before mitosis because if they double then each daughter cell recieve same number of chromosome.

    Explanation:

    This doubling of chromosomes takes place in S phase I. e. synthesis where replication of chromosome occur.
