    The energy change that occurs during boiling is: Heat energy is absorbed by the substance. During boiling, the temperature gradually rises and does not stay the same. When there is an increase heat, it is being absorbed by the substance which creates the effect of the bubbling of the water and the water's temperature rises as well.
