What does the theory of evolution contribute to conservation biology?

    The theory of evolution provides a number of insights:

    -it tells us how the species are related

    -it tells us how the species and populations react to the changes in their environment

    With this knowledge, the scientists can predict how the species will react to the potential changes and support the positive changes (provide a good environment for the animals for example)
