The most populated city in the world is the capital of the East Asia island country of Japan, Tokyo. Tokyo is a huge city, in fact, the city itself has little more than 38 million people living in it, which is more population (compared one on one) than more than half of the countries in the world.
Tokyo is the center of Japan in any sense, but only in Japan, it is a city that has enormous regional, and even global influence in every aspect, making it an extremely powerful and influential city. With the projections made about the future populations of the biggest cities, it is expected that Tokyo will be holding the first spot as the most populated city in the world until 2030, and maybe even longer.
