What type of plate boundary has plates sliding each other?

Transform Boundaries. The type of plate boundary where plates slide past each other is a transform boundary.

There are three types of plate boundaries in the world. These boundaries are:

Convergent boundaries: Where two plates collide into one another. This type of plate boundary often leads to mountains. It can happen between two oceanic plate crusts, an oceanic and continental plate crusts, or two continental crusts. In the case of two oceanic plates colliding, islands are often formed.

Divergent boundaries: Where two plates are moving apart. This type of plate boundary often leads to more land forming, because the molten magma below the plates can surface and cools to create more land. On land, these boundaries normally create rifts, which eventually become rift valleys. In the sea, these boundaries are often called Mid-oceanic ridges.

Transform boundaries: Where plates slide past each other. Unlike with the other types of plate boundaries, in transform boundaries, there is no creation or destruction of oceanic or continental crust. However, since they can't really slide past each other with ease, there is often stress and tension built up, which will lead to earth quakes. These types of boundaries work the same both on land, and in the sea.
