    Bituminous coal when burned produces yellow flames reason being combustion of hydrocarbons which are in the col are incomplete.

    Another reason why bituminous burns in yellow colour is because of having different impurities for example, sulfur.

    Incadence of soot particles which are very fine can also produce yellow flames.
