    Since you did not post a diagram about egg formation, I will be discussing the events that happen during egg formation. First is the release of ovum from the ruptured follicle. It is captured by the infundibulum after the ovum drops into the ovarian pocket after a few minutes. Ovulation takes half an hour. Then fertilization in the infundibulum takes place which stores sperm for seven to fourteen days following insemination. the fertilization will happen when the egg travels down the oviduct and is encased in some layers to make up a chicken egg. forcing the egg out of the vent is done by the uterus. Then the egg is laid.
