3. Mammals and birds are able to maintain relatively constant body temperatures. In cold weather, their internal temperatures could be many degrees warmer than the air temperature around them. How is the heat energy required to warm the body created?

    The hear energy required is created through the response of the CNS working towards homeostasis.
