how do sedimentary rocks form?

    They form by eroded sediments ending up in water and over time more layers pile up and press down on the lower layers and as this process happens the layers come out of the water and salt crystals glue the layers together and forms sedimentary rocks.

    At least that's what I know!

    When sediments are deposited out in the air, ice, wind, and gravity, it brings particles with it. Erosion is the name of the process that creates sedimentary rocks.
