Coral are marine animals that can be found off the coast of Australia. Coral have a mutually beneficial relationship with the algae that live in their tissue. These algae share nutrients with the coral in exchange for a protected place to live. Warmer temperatures cause the algae to separate from the coral in a process called coral bleaching.
