What is the term scientist use to describe how reproductively successful an organism is in its environment?

    Fitness is the term used to describe how well can organism is able to survive and reproduce in it's given environment. When we say an organism is fit, we don't mean it has low bodyfat, or is very muscular. We mean that it is well suited to survive and reproduce.
