Which environmental hazard is directly related to nuclear power production?

Radioactive wastes and spent nuclear fuel are to be contained and isolated properly for a long period of time because when properly contained and controlled it pose dangers to the environment and the people with its very high radioactivity. One hazard it may pose to the environment is mutation.
