What causes some species to not change over time?

    Species evolve through mutations in their genome. Mutations can occur from specific events or geographical isolation. If a species is genetically fit, there is no reason for them to evolve. Extictions can be caused by human interference, increase of predators, or loss of supplies such as food or water.
