    Looking at that, the best way to describe Integrated Marketing Communication is that the collective utilization of different marketing channels in harmony so that they effectively convey the brand's / company's message to the target market.

    Public relations, personal selling, direct marketing and sales promotions, internet marketing, advertising are all a part of IMC.

    Strategic Planning however, is a very broad concept that covers many areas and functions of any organization. Strategic Planning influences effective Marketing Campaigns, but it is not a direct component of Integrated Marketing Communication toolkit.
