The phosphorus cycle occurs more slowly than both the carbon cycle and the nitrogen cycle because of the reason phosphorus rarely occurs as a gas. Both nitrogen cycle and carbon cycle are found in the air as a gas and will always be ready to absorb by the body while phosphorus cycle is not in the air as a gas but rather moves slowly from deposits on land to living organism.
