What happens in the artificial transmutation of an element? Included an example.

    In an artificial transmutation an element is transformed into another element by being shot by another element or particle. For example if you shoot an alpha particle like Helium at Nitrogen then you transform the Nitrogen into an oxygen and you get Hydrogen as a By-product
