How many pairs of electrons do the two oxygen atoms in an oxygen molecule share with each

    There are two pairs of electrons shared by two oxygen atoms in an oxygen molecule. There are 6 electrons at the outer layer of oxygen atom. And after sharing, they need to get 8 electrons at the outer layer to get the stable status.
