During the process of dissolution, the salt or the strong electrolyte breaks down into its corresponding cations and anions.

    hence, from the question,

    (a) sodium nitrate, the chemical formula is NaNO₃,

Hence, in water the ions will be Na ⁺ and NO₃ ⁻.

    (b) sulfuric acid, the chemical formula is H₂SO₄,

Hence, in water the ions will be H⁺ and SO₄²⁻

sodium carbonate the chemical formula is Na₂CO₃,

Hence, in water the ions will be Na ⁺ and CO₃⁻

sodium hypochlorite, the chemical formula is NaClO,

Hence, in water the ions will be Na ⁺ and ClO⁻.
