Synthetic elements are radioactive elements do not occur in earth naturally but are artificially made isotopes, thus called as "synthetic", "man-made" or "artificial".
Explanation:
The elements having atomic numbers 95-118 are said to be synthetic elements. It is created by the bombardment of heavy element, such as uranium or plutonium, with alpha particles or neutrons.
All the synthetic elements are said to be unstable, decay at varying rate so they are not produced in large quantities their half lives starts from 15.6 million years to few hundred microseconds.
